The culture of sustainability

No Consideration of Adverse Sustainability Impacts (Art. 4 SFDR)
SerMont Vermögensverwaltung AG currently does not consider adverse sustainability impacts (Principal Adverse Impacts, “PAI”) at the entity level as referred to in Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 on sustainability‐related disclosures in the financial services sector (SFDR).

The reason for this is that sufficient, consistent and reliable data are currently not available to enable a comprehensive assessment of such impacts.

SerMont Vermögensverwaltung AG continuously monitors regulatory developments and market practice and will assess at a later stage whether and how such impacts can be taken into account.

Notwithstanding the above, ESG criteria (environmental, social and governance factors) are integrated into the investment selection process to the extent compatible with the respective investment strategy and available information.

ESG Criteria

SerMont AM SA is committed to systematically integrating sustainability criteria, specifically environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, into the investment process. ESG factors are an integral part of the investment process and we are convinced this will improve the risk-return ratio of their clients' portfolios over time.

Holistic Approach

SerMont AM SA considers the three sub-areas of ESG—environmental, social, and governance—are equally important and interconnected, hence, they have a collective impact on investment outcomes.

Audit of securities

SerMont AM SA is using several ESG rating providers in its investment process. Securities that fail to meet the minimum requirements of defined ESG criteria will be excluded from the investment universe.

We at SerMont AM SA are convinced that the exclusion of companies with critical corporate practices is contributing to a more sustainable and responsible investment portfolio for our clients.
